How To Configure Your Netgear Wifi Extender N300 Using The Netgear Installation Assistant?

Plug your Netgear N300 extender to power outlet.
Wait until the Power led turns green
- If you didn’t notice any power LED on your extender, then press ON/OFF button on the extender.
Connect your laptop or computer with the extender using a LAN cable or wifi connection.
- To connect with LAN cable, use a LAN cable to connect the LAN port on the extender to an LAN port of your computer or laptop.
- To connect with wifi take your computer or laptop, open the wifi connection manager and connect your device with the extender network named NETGEAR_EXT.
Once your laptop or computer is connected with the extender the client link LED lights.
Open any web browser and enter www.mywifiext.net or http://192.168.1.250 in the address field of the browser.
Press ENTER, new Netgear extender setup page displays.
Click on the new extender setup button.
Complete the onscreen instructions.
Verify that the Access Point/Extender switch is set to Extender and click the Continue button.
Select the wifi network that you want to extend.
Provide the login credentials.
In the Password field, type the router's existing WiFi network password and click the NEXT button.
Set the network name and password for your extender and click the next button.
Wait for the page to display a list of new extender WiFi networks, which might take up to one minute.
Make sure that your computer or laptop is successfully connected before you click the CONTINUE button.
Click the CONTINUE button.
The registration page displays.
Complete the registration fields and click the FINISH button to complete the setup.
Unplug the Netgear wifi extender and move it to a new location where you want to be.
Make sure the location that you choose must be within the range of your existing WiFi router network.

To create a bootable USB flash drive, first of all, you have to download the ISO file of the operating system that you want to install. After preparing, follow the following steps to install an operating system. The following process will delete any data that your USB flash drive has. Therefore, make sure to backup any important data. Download the Rufus executable file and run it. As previously mentioned, no installation required.
In the home screen that opens, in the "Device" column, select the drive that you want to make bootable.
After that, using the “Choose” button, locate the ISO file of the operating system that you want to install.
In the "Partition scheme" field, select the format type of the target disk (on which the system will be installed) – MBR (for systems with Legacy / CSM boot) or GPT (for UEFI systems). The settings in the “Target System” section will switch automatically.
And finally, click on the "Start" button and wait for the process to complete. Rufus will display a message once the process is completed.
After that, you can eject the USB flash drive from the computer. You also can keep the USB flash drive plugged in and restart your computer to boot from it.
