How Do You Check If Windows Are Properly Sealed?

If your windows or doors are not Operating at their optimum performance, it’s time to take a closer look. Here are three easy ways to check up on your windows and doors:

1. Use a window or door thermometer. This will let you know if there is a problem with the temperature inside the window or door. Navigate to this site for more information about windows or doors.

2. Check for drafty windows and doors. If air is constantly escaping from your windows or doors, it may be due to drafts. Try closing any heavy drapes or curtains in front of the windows or doors to help block drafts.

3. Check for water damage. If water has been leaking onto the floor near your window or door, this can indicate a problem with the seal around the window or door frame. To check for water damage, turn off all the lights in the room and open the window or door wide enough so that you can see outside (without getting wet). If there is water on the floor outside, there may be a problem with the seal around the window or door frame that needs to be fixed.

4. Try opening and closing the window or door. Do the windows or doors open and close easily with no resistance? If they are difficult to open or close, it may be due to a broken window or door seal that needs to be fixed.

If there is a drought, it will feel warm at this point, not cold like the wind would feel inside a house. If there is no draught, either there is an obstruction blocking the air from getting through (for example, a cupboard or curtain) or the weather is just not cold enough for a draught to form.
